Peer e Kamil( The Perfect Mentor) was first published in 2004 and its first English translation was published in 2011. This novel narrates that Islam is a complete code of life and when you find love for Allah and follow him then you have to prove yourself in many ways.
Peer e Kamil is the story that revolves around two characters “Imama Hashim” a girl who left her family for religion and a boy “Salar Sikander” who came to the right path. Imama belongs to a Qadiani family (people who do not believe that Hazrat Muhammad is the last Prophet) and Salar is a genius with an amazing I.Q level and has different views about life.
Imama ever avoid Islamic talks with her friends due to their different views about Islam, but later Imama realized herself in the wrong direction and accepted Islam.
As she accepted Islam she fell in love with a Muslim guy named “Jalal Ansar”. She ran away from her house due to her family’s religious influence on her decision. She went to Jalal to convince him to get married but did not succeed. Here her journey toward Allah and His Prophet starts with a lot of hardships.
Salar was a guy who was not a true Muslim and did all the bad deeds he can.
He attempted suicide many times just to know how it feels to be in pain but luckily he fails every time.
Then he met Imama and fell in love with him. A really terrible incident happened with Salar which make him realize his shortcoming and he return to Allah wholeheartedly.
He searched for the right path and Allah choose him.
Conclusion:
This novel teaches us that love of Allah and His Prophet should be our first priority. We are far from Allah but Allah is not far from us. Whenever we move toward Allah he moves toward us faster and holds us.
